The Christmas tree: An ancestral symbol of the festive season

During the festive period, it's an ancestral symbol of the celebrations, taking pride of place in the market squares of Alsace towns and villages: the Christmas tree.

Initially displayed only in public spaces and parks, it wasn't until the 18th Century that the iconic Christmas tree began to appear in family homes in the Rhine region, before going on to be decorated with shimmering and shining decorations. Whilst the tradition of the Christmas tree appears to have been well established in the Rhine valley and the surrounding lands from a very early time, it was only from 1871 onwards that the Christmas tree crossed the blue borders of the Vosges region to win the hearts of families around the rest of France.

Between myths and legends, the Christmas tree is, for most of us, a symbol of precious family time, bringing together little ones and grown-ups alike to revel in festive cheer.

Made using only the highest quality of ingredients, our new creation will introduce you to a harmonious and well-balanced spiced blend, carefully put together by our Maison. Made with honey and spices, our cherished delicacy is made in total respect of tradition: a sufficiently long resting time, so that the full depth of its flavours can be released, followed by gentle baking in a low-heat oven, to avoid shocking the dough, will all contribute to creating the sumptuously soft texture.

In the shape of a Christmas tree, and carefully hand-iced with a gorgeously delicate icing, our new speciality is an exclusive creation for the festive period.

Flour (GLUTEN), honey, sugar, grape seed flour, MILK, EGG, spices 1.2%, baking powders: ammonium carbonate - sodium hydrogen carbonate, ALMOND paste (sugar, ALMOND 32.3%, inverted sugar syrup, glucose syrup), starch, lemon juice, colouring ingredient: acerola juice concentrate - beetroot juice concentrate - lemon juice - safflower extract.

All our products are made in a bakery which uses wheat flour (gluten), milk (lactose), eggs, nuts (almond, hazelnut, pistachio, walnut), sesame, soya derivative, peanuts and ingredients which may contain traces of sulphites.
